Making a custom bridal gown for Sara was a memorable and emotionally charged project:  she wanted to deconstruct her mother’s gown, who had passed away when she was a teenager, and use elements of it in a new gown.  It was made of off-white satin and lace, both sturdy and delicate at the same time, which is also an apt description of Sara herself.    Taking it apart was an exacting process; reconstructing it was even moreso.

The outcome was that we created something modern but with an antique feel–rather glamourous and quite unique in shape and concept.  That it made her feel special and allowed her to feel close to her mother at the event of her wedding was a gift of which I was honored to be part.
